Lynn Valley

It was over a hundred years ago, in 1912, that Lynn Valley Day celebrations first took place. However it was much later, when in 1972 the celebrations was revitalized it to be the on-going annual event it has become. A popular community day it includes a local parade and a day full of family focused activities. But of course visitors are more than welcome!

“The premier community event of the year” returns for the 4th time. This formal-dress gala is being catered by Louis Gervais with bar service by Browns Social House and live music performed by Angela Kelman.

Tickets are $150

18th – PARADE AND CARNIVAL

The parade kicks off the fabulous entertainment of the Lynn Valley Day celebration. The sirens of the fire trucks, the colourful floats and the marching bands herald the start of an exciting day! The parade begins at 9:30am.Lynn Valley Road will be closed from 9:15-11:15, and detours will be in place. Parking by donation is available on Argyle Secondary School’s gravel field and a map of the parade route is available on our website.

The Park opens to the public at 8:30am, with games and large inflatable bouncy toys for the kids, food booths (the best way to start your day is with a traditional Lion’s pancake breakfast!) and live entertainment for all ages. Not to be missed is the Maypole dancing, puppet show, magic show, jugglers, face painters and more. Local community groups are also there with their own booths to showcase their work and efforts on behalf of the community.

19th – FATHERS’ DAY BREAKFAST

The Lions will prepare a Pancake Breakfast to begin at 8:30am. The Lynn Valley Days carnival rides will also be open during this event so that the children who did not have an opportunity to use them during the Carnival can have a chance! We hope to see you and your family there.
