Spring has finally sprung and we are excited to offer an abundance of creative opportunities for you and your family.

CREATIVE CORNER is for kids aged 6-12 and offers 3 Sunday mornings of artistic fun (April 23-May 7).
Upcycle plastic bottles, create beaded jewellery, and sculpt with worn books. Try all 3 weeks at a discounted rate!

We are also offering a chance for kids to bring their parents to Mother’s Day and Father’s Day art classes, so you can share in making memories and fabulous art projects together. You can paint SILK SCARVES  with Mom (Saturday, May 13) and build TIN CAN ROBOTS with Dad (Sunday, June 18)

There is fun for the adults as well – join us for a monthly Causal Friday Night art class. Classes are suitable for all skill levels and cost only $35/person. On April 21, you can learn watercolour basics at BRANCHING OUT with Frank Townsley. May 19, Siobhan Smith will teach you how to make ZANY ZINES and on June 16, Sandrine Pelissier will introduce the meditative art of WATERCOLOUR MANDALAS.

If you are looking for something more in-depth, there are a variety of inspirational intensives for all skill levels from which to choose. Use LINOCUT PRINTS to make cards, wrapping paper and artwork with Cath Hughes (April 8) or discover the wonders of wood through hand carving, pyrography and scroll sawing with James Harry, Suzanne Erickson and Brian Ballard at the WOODWORKING WORKSHOP (April 29 – presented in partnership with Lee Valley Tools). Paint stunning WATERCOLOUR BLOSSOMS with Frank Townsley (June 3) or explore the process of THREAD DRAWING with textile artist, Amanda Wood (June 10).

For those of you who would like to improve your drawing skills (the basis of all visual art), there are still a few places left in our youth-focused FUNDAMENTALS OF DRAWING and non-instructional LIFE DRAWING  is back for the spring on Tuesday evenings, offering the chance to draw from live models.
Drop-in is available for Life Drawing, but classes will only run if we reach our minimum number of registrants for each session. Classes will be cancelled if minimum numbers are not reached, so please be sure to register at least 1 week before the class is scheduled to start. That being said, some classes are almost full, so register early so you don’t miss out!
