West Vancouver Police
The District of West Vancouver has it’s own police force. The West Vancouver Police are located at the entrance to Ambleside and are responsible for all local policing within the District. Their duties include acting on crime reports, traffic accident investigations, researching missing persons, gang control and general keeping of the peace. West Vancouver Fire Department
There are a three neighbourhood firehalls in West Vancouver, with the main #1 Hall located beside City Hall in Ambleside. The smaller Halls are in the British Properties, Caulfeild and Horseshoe Bay.
Fire services include response and prevention of general building fires. Other responsibilities include assisting Police with accident clean up and Emergency services with support at major accident scenes and disaster-related circumstances. West Vancouver Ambulance
The BC Ambulance Service provides pre-hospital care and transportation to all residents and guests of West Vancouver. The highly-trained Ambleside-based paramedics are on duty 24-hours a day.
The BC Ambulance Service works in conjunction with West Vancouver Fire & Rescue, West Vancouver Police, the Canadian Coast Guard, North Shore Rescue and other agencies to provide some of the best health care in the world.
