Lions Gate Sinfonia opens their 2014-15 season with works by Beethoven and Brahms. Internationally acclaimed pianist Robert Silverman performs Beethoven’s majestic Fifth Piano Concerto, “The Emperor”.

This beloved work offers no better showcase of one of Canada’s best-loved pianists, Robert Silverman, as he bids farewell to the concert stage. We pair this grand statement with one by Johannes Brahms – his sublimely rousing Variations on a Theme by Haydn boasting a spectacular tour-de-force finale.

Lions Gate Youth Orchestra joins LGS for Bach’s “Little” Fugue in g minor, one of Bach’s best-known compositions featuring his most recognizable tune.
