With the help of an experienced youth facilitator, the aim is to explore interesting as well as sometimes uncomfortable topics in a safe and welcoming space. The camp is open to girls of all backgrounds entering grades 9, 10 and 11. The camp is free of charge and lunches and snacks will be provided. The topics covered during the long week camp include: relationships, assertiveness, body image, social media and much more.This year participants may choose between two sessions – Monday to Friday – July 10th– 14thor August 14th– 18th from 10:30am to 4:00pm. The camp will be held at the centre located on 131 East 2nd Street and there will be an organized and supervised field trip. The camp includes: a 3-hour Safeteen session, critical discussions, wilderness outdoor activity, art and journaling.
