Grouse Mountain Resorts A peak experience just 15 minutes from downtown. Year-round, the Skyride tram whisks visitors 1.6 kilometres (one mile) up to the mountaintop chalet and superb views. A high-definition theatre presentation, Born to Fly, screens at the Theatre in the Sky. The Grouse Mountain Refuge for Endangered Wildlife shelters three wolves and two orphaned grizzly bears. Cypress Mountain Located in the heart of Cypress Provincial Park and only 30 minutes from the heart of downtown Vancouver. Home of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The Free Style Skiing venues are being built in conjunction with a new high-speed quad chair. Meanwhile, the Snowboarding venues will provide improved grading of runs and create an Olympic-rated Super Pipe within sight of the Base Area. |
