Erica Sigurdson’s charm, wit and hilarious stand-up comedy have won her fans across North America as well as the respect of her peers and interest from industry.

Erica has performed at The Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, written for a Comedy Network pilot, taped her own Comedy Now special, written and performed numerous times for CBC Radio and XFM radio and most notably was one of two writer’s for the 21st Annual Gemini Awards, aired on Global Television, for which she won a Leo Award for Best Screenwriting in a Comedy. In 2007 and 2008, Erica was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Stand-up in Canada.

Sam Easton has toured feverishly with his edgy, high-energy stand-up comedy while also making time to appear in shows like The L Word and Howie Do It, and big screen features like Final Destination 3.

Federico Fuoco, owner of Federico’s Supper Club and crooner extraordinaire, is a soul inspired by the nostalgia and magic of bygone eras from the likes of Dean Martin and Louis Prima to Tom Jones and Neil Diamond. The Canadian Iranian Foundation in collaboration with the North Vancouver Recreation Commission presents the 5th Annual Spring and Norouz Festival. The Festival is a fun day for the whole family with lots of entertainments from different parts of the world, children play ground, face painting, Cinema zoo, Arts and crafts,Iranian pop music concert, los of dance performances and food court, Art corner, where the young painters could display their arts and lots more. Pink Ribbons, Inc.

Pink Ribbons, Inc. – Capitalizing on Hope Pink Ribbons, Inc. looks at the pervasive impact of breast cancer fundraising. Where does all the money go, and what is actually achieved? The film offers a completely different take on the pink ribbon “success” story that has overtaken North America. Pink Ribbons, Inc. is a feature length documentary produced by the National Film Board of Canada and directed by award-winning, Canadian filmmaker Léa Pool. The film is inspired by a book of the same name by Professor Samantha King of Queens University. Variety Concert

Cecilia Ensemble Women’s Choir of Capilano University is joined by lyric soprano Catherine Crouch, operatic baritone Dheni Walsh and violinist Seung Bin (Jason) Lee. The choir will sing Eric Whitacre’s beautiful Five Hebrew Love Songs, Ola Gjeilo’s fabulous Tundra and other varied gems. Catherine will treat you to Vivaldi, Handel and Lerner & Loewe. And Beethoven will be there too when Jason plays his Romance.

A Contemporary Vision of a Classical Tradition

A diverse printmaking exhibition by members of the Art Institute of Capilano University thatexplores a microcosm of dynamic changes occurring in international print culture, especially with regard to the digital revolution.

The exhibition includes a variety of printmaking processes- everything from the classical etching, relief and silkscreen to the more modern photo and digital work, often in combination with each other. Through these processes, the artists explore the surfaces and possibilities of scale, embossments, enamels, rare Japanese Gampi papers and metallic surfaces.

The exhibition will showcase diverse images and concepts- every thing from environmental issues, technology and the human condition to the creative act, music and ecology.
