Every March, International Women’s Day reminds us the strength and courage that reside in all women, which have taken them through the most difficult times and brought about amazing achievements in human history.

In collaboration with the North Vancouver City Library and R.E.S.P.E.C.T Society for Women, North Shore Women’s Centre (NSWC) will host the North Shore IWD 2014 event, “Break the Silence, Inspire Change”. We will welcome Kamal Dhillon, the author of Black & Blue Sari and Kathy Kovacs who wrote a featured piece in the book Change One Belief.

The event will begin with author readings, followed by a panel discussion with speakers who work directly in the field of relationship violence. Meet with courageous authors who wrote about their relationship abuse experiences, and learn about NSWC as well as other resources in the community that help women who are faced with abuse.

Free of Charge. Refreshments are provided. Registration is required. Please RSVP at www.northshorewomen.ca
