RE/MAX presents the 6th annual Artists for Conservation Festival – a multi-day art and environmental education festival, featuring a world-class conservation themed art exhibit with leading international, regional and First Nations artists, live music, films, guest lectures, workshops for youth and adults, live painting demos, music and cultural performances.

Artists for Conservation is a Canada-based international non-profit, with a mission is to support wildlife and habitat conservation and environmental education through art that celebrates nature.

Artists for Conservation (AFC) is the world’s leading group of artists dedicated to supporting the environment. Founded in 1997, AFC represents many of the world’s most celebrated names in the nature/wildlife art genre among a dedicated membership of professional and emerging artists from nearly 30 countries. AFC is a driving force in a global artistic movement supporting conservation and education.

Through international art exhibits, collaborative art-science expeditions, annual festival, awards, publications, and online initiatives, AFC informs and inspires the public to conserve our natural heritage. Among its membership, AFC serves to foster artistic excellence and empower passionate artists as effective ambassadors for the environment. AFC hosts the world’s largest online gallery of nature, landscape and wildlife art at www.artistsforconservation.org

We live in an extraordinary period in history – one that is marked by us seeing well over one-third of Earth’s species vanish, along with dozens of human cultural lines and languages. The challenge of climate change, loss of biodiversity, desertification, overpopulation, and deforestation – each on its own – stands to adversely affect us all. Together, these challenges represent symptoms of a global pattern of impact by humans on the web of life that supports us. Many artists today are active participants in an important awareness and educational movement, channeling artistic talent toward emotionally connecting the public to nature to inspire awareness, appreciation and action. At the forefront of this movement is Artists for Conservation (AFC).

The Artists for Conservation Festival provides a rare opportunity for the public to engage, learn directly from inspiring international master artists/conservationists and support conservation. AFC programs demonstrate how an individual can make a difference, and the importance of taking action now. By encouraging curiosity, learning and participation we can save the places we love and the species we care for. Your participation and support will make a lasting difference.
