About the PAC

The Queen Mary Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a volunteer organization for parents of students at Queen Mary Community School. It is a non-profit organization whose aim is to foster a rich school community, provide a link between school staff and parents, and help raise funds for program enrichment at the school.

Who is a member of the PAC?

Every parent of a current Queen Mary student is a member of the PAC. All staff, administrators and teachers currently working at Queen Mary are also members of PAC.

What is the role of the PAC?

The role of the PAC is to advise the school and the North Vancouver Board of Education of the parents’ perspective regarding any matter related to the school. Relevant issues include the school plan, policies and services provided to students attending Queen Mary.

Why is it important to be involved in the PAC?

In order to accurately represent all parents of students at Queen Mary, the PAC requires the ongoing participation and contribution of its membership.

What and who are the PAC Executive?

The PAC Executive is made up of the following positions filled by elected or appointed parent volunteers for the purpose of leading the PAC:

  • Chair: Lily Foster
  • Vice-Chair: Christie Manlolo
  • Treasurer: Rama Satyal
  • Secretary: Jennifer Mitchell
  • District PAC representative: Christie Manlolo
  • Communications Officer: Lauren Wood
