Have you ever wondered what it would be like to watch the sunrise over Vancouver while skiing or boarding? If so, be sure to take part in Grouse Mountain’s 24 Hours of Winter on February 6 & 7, 2016.

The Peak of Vancouver will be open for 24 consecutive hours of winter fun. The entire resort will be open around the clock for guests to enjoy activities including a torch relay, kid’s hockey tournament, skiing, riding, snowshoeing, shopping and dining.

Non-Stop Events

Skiing/ Snowboarding (8:30am Saturday to 10pm Sunday)

Terrain Park (8:30am to dusk Saturday to 10pm Sunday)

Mountaintop Ice Skating (12pm Saturday to 10pm Sunday)

Snowshoeing (9am to dusk, Saturday & Sunday, plus special night tours) Complimentary 1-hour guided tours at sunset (5pm Saturday), midnight Saturday and sunrise (7am Sunday). Meet at the Fireside Hut.

Note: Snowshoe trails are closed from dusk to dawn unless accompanied by a snowshoe guide

Sliding Zone (10am-10pm Saturday & Sunday): Get your snow carpet rental ($) … and slide!

Light Walk (Dusk-10pm, Saturday & Sunday): Walk amongst the fir and spruce around Blue Grouse Lake where stunning light installations bring radiance to the winter night.

Mountaintop Sleigh Rides (9am-dusk Saturday and Sunday): Embark on a sleigh ride through our Winter Wonderland.

Theatre in the Sky (9:30am to 10pm Saturday, 9:30am to 9pm Sunday)

Featuring continuous showings (except during special showings) of Extremely Wild, Epic VanCity, All.I.Can, After Glow and Parallels.

Special showings include: Canucks vs. Flames, 7pm-10pm, Saturday & Super Bowl 50, 3:00pm-7:00pm

Special Events

Dance Skate Party with a live DJ from 7pm-10pm on Saturday

Scavenger Hunt (Saturday – 2pm-10pm): Find branded disks around the Mountain (do not go out of bounds) and bring them to the Shoes.com table in the Chalet Atrium to receive your prize! 20 fabulous prizes available to be won.

Torch Parade (Saturday – 9pm): The city’s favourite playground will be aglow with enthusiastic skiers carving their way down the mountain. Best views from the Peak Flats and Lower Peak.

Jam Over the City (Late Saturday night – 12am-1:30am): Whether you are a skier or snowboarder, guy or girl, young or old, come on out to win loads of prizing and have a good time!

Junior Pond Hockey Tournament (Saturday/Sunday)

Cheer on these young local hockey dynamos age 6-7 as they zip around the ice.

The Outpost Rental Shop will be open from 9am Saturday to 10pm Sunday. Snowshoe, ski/snowboard rentals are available.

Note: All the outdoor activities will take place weather and snow level permitting.
