Ali Milner is making her mark on the indie/jazz charts delivering pure sound and amazing vocal depth, with a modern edge for a classic genre that has been described as shades of Sam Cooke and Norah Jones rolled into one. Despite her young age, she is an experienced artist who has been recording and performing live since the age of 14. For her latest album, “I Dare You,” Ali collaborated with some of Canada’s best, including Sherry St. Germain, Davor Vulama, Aileen De La Cruz, Shaun Verreault (lead singer, Wide Mouth Mason) and Jim Vallance (Bryan Adams’ writing partner).

The Sears Great Canadian Run is a long distance running relay that brings Canadians together in the unified goal of ending pediatric cancer. In support of the Sears Canada Charitable Foundation, funds will be directed to the 16 pediatric oncology centres across Canada which support the research and treatment of kids cancer.
The Sears Great Canadian Run will link together major Canadian cities and resort destinations, providing teams of up to 6 people with exciting, challenging and beautiful routes that will celebrate the Canadian landscape.

Join us for a presentation of stunning images with Ernie Cooper, a leading Canadian authority on wildlife trade. He will provide the local to global link on these threatened species. Ernie leads WWF-Canada’s wildlife trade program out of WWF’s Vancouver o ffice. He is the National Representative of the TRAFFIC Network a wildlife trade monitoring program of WWF and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Be prepared to be engaged and informed as Ernie shares his passion for preserving and protecting the world’s threatened and endangered species.

This unique exhibition will showcase contemporary First Nation’s art work. Artists have pushed the boundaries to create contemporary work with traditional association using non-traditional mediums or traditional mediums with a contemporary edge.
The exhibition will be part of a tour organized for National Aboriginal Day on June 21, 2011.
